Drink of the Week: Bushwhacker
For this week’s drink of the week, we headed to a new breed of beach bar – PigDog Beach Bar located off the beach behind Morey’s Mariner’s Pier. Bartender Carlos decided to help us cool off by choosing a frozen drink called the Bushwhacker – every kid-at-heart’s dream – from the extensive cocktail menu.
Carlos whipped up the Bushwhacker by pouring Cruzan Black Strap Rum, Kahlúa and ice cream base into a pitcher, then blending the mixture with ice. Next, Carlos added some sweet flavor by lining the cup with chocolate syrup. Finally, Carlos poured the creamy concoction into the cup, and it was ready for us to indulge. The result was similar to a chocolate milkshake, full of dessert-like deliciousness, but with a nice kick. Who said milkshakes aren’t for adults?
