Happy Halloween! Have you picked out your costume? Because there are a ton of fun, Halloween events this season! As Halloween approaches, we’ll have more information about these events, but here are some events to add to your calendar.

CMCH Drive Thru Trunk or Treat
Wednesday, October 21 at 5 p.m.
Atlantic Cape Community College, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, CMCH

Ocean City Halloween House Decorating Contest
Register by Friday, October 23 at 4 p.m.
Throughout Ocean City

Out-BOO your neighbors by entering our SPOOK-tacular Halloween House Decorating Contest! Judging will take place the evenings of October 28 and 29 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. and judges will be looking at the decorations only and their overall creativity, special effects, lighting, theme, etc. The deadline to register your house is 4 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020. Boo at the Zoo

Visit the zoo! Come in costume anytime between Saturday, October 24 and Halloween and take part in our pumpkin scavenger hunt. Take a photo in front of our Halloween backdrops and post your smiling faces with the hashtag #BooAtTheCMCZoo.

Family Halloween Magic Shows
Saturday, October 24
Freeman Douglas Field on Route 9, 676 Shore Rd, Cape May

There will be two afternoon Magic Shows to celebrate Halloween this year! The shows are free, but reservations are required. Time of shows and more information are to be announced. Check www.townshipoflower.org for the most up-to-date information.

Drive Thru Trunk or Treat
Saturday, October 24 at 6 p.m.
Richard M. Teitelman School Parking Lot, 687 Route 9, Lower Township

Dress up in costume and take a spooky drive through the parking lots of the school where guests will be given a socially distant treat from decorated trunks. Please remember to remain in your vehicles at all times, drive slowly and carefully, and arrive at the lineup no later than 7:45. Remember to share your creative costume ideas! Lower Township residents are encouraged to send photos of their families in Halloween costumes to EKreis@townshipoflower.org, which will be displayed on a big screen during the event. Please email your photos no later than Wednesday, October 21 at noon to have them included during the event. Trunks are needed! Sign up at the township website, townshipoflower.org to show off your creative Halloween spirit and have your decorated vehicle as part of the event. No candy purchases needed! Middle Township Halloween Parade
Wednesday, October 28 at 7 p.m.
Start at Memorial Field – Travels North on Route 9 to OceanFirst Bank

Join in on the fun at the Middle Township Halloween Parade! All are welcome to participate, but entries must be received by October 26. If you are interested in participating, register online at middletownship.recdesk.cpm or mail registration to Middle Township Special Events at 626 Goshen Road, Cape May Court House, NJ, 08210. The parade will begin at 7 p.m.; lineup starts at Memorial Field at 6 p.m. The parade will travel north on Route 9 to OceanFirst Bank. There will be no performances or judging this year. All candy must be bagged separately and children must pick it up themselves. Masks, gloves, and trays are required for people giving out candy. Please practice safe social distancing and all participants must wear a mask covering the nose and mouth. If you have any questions, please contact the Special Events Department at 609-465-8728.

Howl-o-ween Virtual Pet Costume Contest

Upload your pictures to Sea Isle City Recreation Facebook page or email them to sicrec@seaislecitynj.us. by October 28 to enter the Virtual Pet Costume Contest! They are also doing a donation drive for the CMC Animal Shelter & Adoption Center. You may drop off donations to 4501 Park Rd. Outdoor Halloween Movie Night: The Nightmare Before Christmas

Dennis Township Family Movie Night

In honor of Halloween, Dennis Township is hosting a double feature Family Movie Night on October 30! The night kicks off with Toy Story of Terror at 6 p.m., and continues with The Nightmare Before Christmas starting at 6:45 p.m. Free admission, drinks, and popcorn. Bring your blankets and chairs and spread out on the soccer field. There is plenty of room to practice social distancing. Masks are required in the restrooms. Wheels and Reels Drive-In at the Cape May Ferry: Ghostbusters
Friday, October 30 at 7 p.m.
Cape May Ferry Terminal, 1200 Lincoln Blvd., North Cape May

This fall, Cape Assist will host two free Wheels and Reels movie nights at the Cape May Lewes Ferry. Before Halloween, there will be a movie night on October 30, which will be 1984 classic Ghostbusters. The following month, there will be a second movie night on November 16, which will be the Goonies. There is a 150 car limit for each movie and registration is open now. You can register at Eventbrite website or www.capeassist.org/ghostbusters or www.capeassit.org/goonies. The gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will begin promptly at 7 p.m. A snack bag will be handed to each car upon entering. Bottles of water will also be available at no charge.
