Incredibles 2
Release Date: June 15

In this sequel to The Incredibles (2004), the Parr family struggles to maintain normal lives while fighting crime. As Helen, as Elastigirl, is out saving the world and campaigning for the return of the “supers,” Bob, also known as Mr. Incredible, stays home to care for their children Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack. In the process, the family finally discovers the baby’s secret powers.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Release Date: June 22
Starring: Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, Ted Levine
Since the end of the Jurassic World theme park in the prequel, Jurassic World (2015), the dinosaurs have been roaming the island freely. Sicario: Day of the Soldado

In this sequel to Sicario (2015), the drug war at the U.S.-Mexico border has escalated to the point where cartels are trafficking terrorists across the border. To fight the war, CIA federal agent Matt Graver teams up with ex-hitman Alejandro Gillick, an unpredictable character.

The First Purge
Release Date: July 4
Starring: Marisa Tomei, Melonie Diaz, Mo McRae
This prequel to The Purge (2013) focuses on the events leading up to the very first Purge. To lower the crime rate for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) test a sociological theory that allows violence and crime for one night in one isolated community. When this aggression leaks out of the trial-city borders, The Purge spreads across the entire nation.

Ant-Man and the Wasp
Release Date: July 6
Starring: Evangeline Lilly, Paul Rudd, Hannah John-Kamen
Ant-Man and the Wasp is based on the Marvel Comics characters Scott Lang / Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne / Wasp, and intended to be the sequel to Ant-Man (2015). While Scott Lang attempts to balance his home life as a father with his Super Hero responsibilities as Ant-Man, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that uncovers secrets from their past.
